Chef Karl Bashford’s modern British pub food is rooted in traditional classics, using the finest local produce he can source from the surrounding area and mixing these with ideas and inspiration picked up from travels in the UK and beyond.
His long-standing friendships with local suppliers ensure the freshness, quality and seasonality of the food prepared at the anvil and is continually on the lookout for new and upcoming local food and drinks producers to support.
If you’re after a more relaxed dining experience, why not check out our outdoor eatery, forge. Housed in our newly built woodshed, you’ll enjoy all the ambience of alfresco dining, with views of our bustling open kitchen where you can order your wood-fired pizza.
We have a delicious range of coal and wood fired burgers and grills, all made using local meats. Or perhaps you’re after pub classic, with a modern makeover that’s elevated your ‘old favourite’. You’ll also find a great range of snacks and starters; it’ll be hard to choose just one!
