Chef Karl Bashford’s modern British pub food is rooted in traditional classics, using the finest local produce he can source from the surrounding area & mixing these with ideas and inspiration picked up from travels in the UK and beyond.
His long-standing friendships with local suppliers ensure the freshness, quality and seasonality of the food prepared at The Anvil and is continually on the lookout for new and upcoming local food & drinks producers to support.
We are currently open for food 12-2.15pm and 6-9pm Monday to Thursday. On Friday and Saturday, we serve food from 12-2.15pm and 5-9pm. Sunday, we serve food from 12-8pm.
The bar is open from 12-2.15pm and 5-11pm between Monday and Thursday. On Friday and Saturday, we serve drinks 12-11pm and on Sunday hours the bar is open 12-10.30pm.
